I have added only a few programs and have been diligent in setting a restore point before making any additions. Try getting some air under it.If the system does not have the full complement of RAM / memory that it can hold, consider upgrading. it didn't work I only have two 3rd party software that's WinRAR and amd catalyst and I disabled them both and when I click restart explorer it just gave me black so far the system seems to be working as it should.

This is a known "feature" (bug). The same thing can be done via sysintenals autoruns program but this tool makes it easier to identify the entries IMHO. I am now working on uninstalling the tool bar from AVG. If I did not know how to find the information I would become very frustrated. I went through and reset all IE8 options in the advanced tab of the internet options. After reading this I went to the PC tested the icons while IE was open and they worked fine. useful reference Join the community here.
