The 2nd problem is THERE IS NO WMP11 UNINSTALL/REINSTALL!!!!!!!!!!! I respect you feel it's canned, but the question then is: how would I have guessed that the IMGA is on the system?

The canned posts zachd has supplied everywhere does not fix the problem for most people. I work with extensively with Windows Media Player, .WMA > files, > and .WMV files all and there is not much time for troubleshooting. Thanks in advance 🙂 Anonymous does this works with vista??? How did you "slipstream" it?

i was messing around with that legitbm/b.dll rubbish and this was by far the easiest method. I was unable to run chkdsk. As our poster quoted WMP11 I assume that they do not have WMP12. Frustration.

wmfdist11.exe integrates normally into nLite. I've fiddled around with a my codecs to get it up to speed without using the RGB convert but no succes yet. It's easy enough to install the k-lite pack (or CCCP or individual codecs) that WMP can access although WMP12 will try to force it's own decoders rather than third party ones. WMP + 2.57 -> crash (faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6000.16386) WMP + 2.56a -> no problems.
