I'm not going to continue paying for malwarebytes when it is not fixing my problem. They scammed me for $352.16 .It aint over yet. The only way for someone other then you to know if your PC is infected is if their software is the infection. Their number was "Out of area" and they had foreign accents.

They strung her along for a bit by having her pull up mysterious Windows files and reading off numbers claiming that identified her Windows system. Never got that call back. I don't think they necessarily got your number from anyone, I think this operates on a huge scale mostly out of India or Asia and they just call random numbers until You are no better than those who cause the trouble in the first place.

Most of these so-called techs often have poor English or fail to be specific about the purpose of their phone call.
