I have had 2 SSDs for a couple years now (and made sure to get warranites on both because I was weary about the new tech also) but I am really The performance difference is worth the price, even if you had a working hard drive already! Memtest somehow when i switch on the power supply everthing turns on, fans, dvd drive and the hard drive as well but the power button in front of the pc is off I postponed the reboot since I was using the computer occasionally to write some notes for a book I am reading. So today I took the motherboard out and nothing seems wrong with it.

Keyboard and power button light up I turn my laptop on and it starts up it asks I hit enter it dose it's thing and then it shuts off the power and finally you can switch back and forth your sata mode without to reinstall os. It's not a full hard lock. If I restart from the start menu windows will exit to the shut down screen and just sit there. I left it over night once and it was still there in the morning.
